A permit may be granted pursuant to Chapter 3, Section 307 of the International Fire Code, as amended.
1. The permit, once approved, shall be retained on the site by the person supervising the burning and shall be shown upon request to any official. 2. Recreational fires are allowed only when the fire danger is LOW or MODERATE: Exception: If the Governor, County, Town, Fire District, or Sheriff issues a burn ban or if a Red Flag Warning is issued by the State or Federal Forest Service.
3. Applicant is hereby authorized to burn recreational fires only. No trash, stumps, or construction materials shall be burned on the premises as shown above.
4. Recreations fires shall be 3 feet or less in diameter and 2 feet or less in flame height. Recreational fires shall be conducted in approved containers only. 5. Recreational fires shall be no closer than twenty fire feet (25') to the nearest combustibles or structures. Conditions which could cause a fire to spread within 25 feet of a structure, shall be eliminated prior to ignition.Exception: If the fire is contained in a barbecue pit. 6. Fire Extinguishing equipment. A garden hose connected to a water supply, a fire extinguisher with a minimum 4-A rating, or other approved onsite fire-extinguishing equipment such as dirt, sand, water barrel, or water truck shall be readily available for immediate utilization. 7. Recreational fires shall be constantly attended, by a competent adult, until the fire is extinguished. AT NO TIME SHALL THE FIRE BE LEFT UNATTENDED. 9. AFTER THE BURNING IS COMPLETE, THE FIRE SHALL BE FULLY EXTINGUISHED. 11. The applicant shall be responsible for compliance with applicable fire protection and safety requirements of the Red, White & Blue Fire Protection District. ANY EVENT, INSPECTION, OR INVESTIGATION WHICH REQUIRES THE USE OF FIRE DEPARTMENT APPARATUS (PUMPER, LADDER TRUCK, ETC.) FOR ANY REASON, MAY BE CHARGED A FEE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ADOPTED RED, WHITE & BLUE FIRE DISTRICT FEE SCHEDULE. 12. If any of the above mentioned statutes, ordinances, rules or regulations are violated, this permit shall become null and void and the penalties indicated therein shall be in force. Omission by name or number of any other relevant statutes, ordinances, codes, rules or regulations from this Permit does not relieve applicant's responsibility of compliance with same. *
